9 Songs is a modern-day love story directed by award-winning filmmaker Michael Winterbottom (Wonderland, 24 Hour Party People, Code 46) that features some of the best bands in music today - Franz Ferdinand, Super Furry Animals, Michael Nyman, Primal Scream, Dandy Warhols, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Matt meets American student, Lisa, at the Brixton Academy and falls in love with her. The film seeks to document their relationship, both domestically and sexually, cut to the music of the gigs that they go to.
