Gain Ground combines elements of shoot em up, strategy and puzzle gaming to create a unique retro arcade experience. Play as a range of characters fighting through levels or plotting an unlikely path past hordes of enemies - the aim of the game is to either guide your character to the exit zone or kill all of the enemies as you advance. With a wide choice of weapons available, you will start off with primitive bows and arrows and work towards hi-tech weaponry.

? Gain Ground started life as an arcade game in 1988 and ported to the SEGA Master System in 1990 and SEGA Genesis in 1991.
? You can play as twenty different characters, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and unique weapons.
? The final level of the game is known for requiring suicide tactics and the wasting of your character stock, rather than actual skill.
